The four of us explored the vastness of the Argentine pampas to reach our destination at the foot of the Andes: Salta. From there we also visited Cafayate, Purmamarca, Jujuy and Humahuaca. The flight was peppered with exciting weather, impressive expanses, salt lakes, huge rivers and, above all, wonderful people in the friendly Aero Clubs and airports along the route. The sight of the Andes on the approach to Salta and on the flight to Cafayate is indescribable. The barren and high mountains with their rivers in between are breathtaking. The play of colors on the rocks at Purmamarca is also unique. There is the rock of seven colors and the rock of fourteen colors. Simply crazy!
