Flight to the Iguazú Waterfalls
Flying to Iguazú is challenging because the falls are located in a tropical forest characterized by frequent rains and high humidity. The climate of the region is humid subtropical. After all, it is rather dry and cool in winter from May to September, but it is warm and humid in summer. The planning or the flight must be correspondingly flexible.
The reward is even bigger! From the air, on foot and from a boat, the falls are impressive.

There is also a lot to discover on the way from Uruguay to the border triangle of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay. The third largest city in Argentina, Rosario, is on the Paraná River and therefore on the route. The city not only has a vibrant center but is also the birthplace of Lionel Messi.
Further north is the Esteros de Iberá National Park, a 13,000 square kilometer swamp area. The animal and plant world, but of course also the diverse bird species that can be found here, are reminiscent of the Okavango Delta in Botswana. The area can be explored on foot and by kayak. Various estancias have their own runways, so that the plane can be parked in front of the door.
