I have to smile when I look through my e-mails about airplane purchases. The correspondence begins among other things with the indication that it will take round about one year to make it a reality. That at least is my experience from my time and my aircraft purchases in Botswana. It took me about one year each time from the day I decided to buy an airplane to the day it was ready to fly. Well, today in Uruguay we are about to finalize the purchase of a beautiful C182 from a private owner. Exactly eleven months since the first email.
The cooperation with the local flight school Escuela del Aire helps us for the time being until we operate our own Cessna, but also afterwards. As part of our project, we can rent a Cessna C172N from the school or the aeroclub at any time. We are therefore not only prepared for the initial phase. In the long term we also have the option of going on tours with two or more aircraft.
